Katie Strock is a professional singer, with years of experience in musical theatre, blues and jazz performance, and music education.
Prior to launching Songbird Studios of Alaska, Katie was employed by the Alaska Public Schools System and, later, served as the Music and Drama Specialist for Pacific Northern Academy of Anchorage.
Katie is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Music.
Katie Strock, founder of Songbird Studios, arrived in Alaska nearly twenty years ago, having secured a Cum Laude Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre at Shenandoah University and Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia.
Katie has performed in National Musical Theatre Tours, Cyrano’s Playhouse and the Anchorage Opera.
Katie has performed with some of Anchorage’s top jazz and blues musicians.
She is the leader of GINGER and ALE, a band of professional musicians experienced in presenting a full jazz and blues repertoire. GINGER and ALE is available for hire.
